Thank you! Wishful thinking, in a way, that my parents had made that choice and I could have grown up in the place I am the most connected to. Except, of course, because of the random events that make up our lives from conception, I'd have never been born to know it.

The ‘if only’ theory. Belonging is such a complicated notion. It’s rarely the place we feel we ought to belong to. Much more likely to be the familiar, grown-into place.
