It’s a great story, but there’s scope for diverting it in different directions (if you’re clever enough).
Which I may, depending on how much of it I choose to adapt. If I stay only with Grendel and his mother, I’ll probably stick closely to the original, minus the Christian aspects.
The Christian aspects spoil most mythologies. I like picking the bits out of Irish stories.
